Cold Weather Accessories

Cold weather gloves, ear muffs for cold weather by Jos A Bank

Unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye to another summer. Depending on where you live, the coldest of fall and winter days call for more than just a jacket to shelter us from the elements and keep us warm. The biting wind on our daily commute is enough to sour our day if we aren't properly prepared.

Luckily, there are many stylish and functional cold weather accessories that will not only complement your wardrobe but will ensure that you stay warm as well.

Scarves

A scarf is an easy and elegant way to add both warmth and style to your outfit. A patterned scarf will allow you to incorporate a bit of individuality into your outfit, while a solid colored addition easily pairs well with most outerwear.

It's also imperative that you learn a few different ways to tie your scarf depending on the type of jacket you are wearing it with or the look that you are after.

Hats

Unless you're facing some serious weather, a herringbone cap or bucket hat is a fashionable choice to keep your head warm. As with your other accessories, aim for a color that complements your other outerwear.

Gloves

We've all experienced it at least once in our lives. The feeling of helplessness when our fingers get cold and stiff and we can't tie our shoes, answer a phone call, or open our car doors.

Keep your hands in full working order with a pair of wool or leather gloves. Typically found in gray, brown, or black, these gloves are an essential add-on to your ensemble to keep your fingers warm and operational.

Ear Warmers

If you opt for function over fashion, a pair of cozy earmuffs are the way to go. They will undoubtedly do an excellent job of keeping your ears warm on even the coldest of fall and winter days.

No matter how cold it gets this year, be prepared with the right cold weather accessories and stay stylish and warm!
