The plum is a head turner. This dress shirt looks just as good with designer denim jeans for casual nights out.The modified split collar looks closer to a point collar than a wide spread. The twill weave gives a much softer hand and a more natural drape than the Traveler pinpoint weave. Make sure to get the striped and gingham patterns in the Joseph slim twill as well. They are just as nice.JAB please keep this line going. Get some more styles and colors out ASAP!
Service and delivery comments:
As of Autumn 2012, Joseph slim fit dress shirts seem to be limited to catalog orders. If your local JAB is designated a "Joseph" location you might see them in store.Processing was same day and delivery on time.
A cut above
from Boulder, CO
The fabric and detailing are a cut above the Traveler shirts (good though they are), very soft and smooth; the French placket also gives the front a clean, elegant look. The slim cut is very good, and I particularly appreciate how much less baggy the arms are. Exact sleeve lengths are also a blessing. The only slight flaw is that, while the fabric is non-iron, the French placket creases down the middle, unlike the placket on the regular shirts. That means you still need to touch up with an iron before wearing. Really not much effort, though, and it's worth it.
