Comments about Jos. A. Bank VIP Linen Point Collar Long Sleeve Sportshirt:
Nice 100% linen fabric, not a featherweight so it's very durable and irons nicely. Definitely for casual wear, tucked in or hanging out. The printed gingham pattern hides the inevitable wrinkles. Living in the tropical heat and humidity of South America I am happy to have SIX of these shirts, and the only flaw has been the buttonholes eventually tearing at the stitching if the shirts are laundered with the buttons closed. I wear them for comfort and breathability, and the style is just fine. Going thinner for the fabric would have made them a bit more breathable... but would have lost the durability. So, well done!

Not what I wanted
This was not the shirt that I wanted. The color and texture were not what I was expecting, but I just took it into the store and exchanged it easily. Overall I have to say I am satisfied since I got what I was looking for in the end.
Super good shirt for the money
Already had the khaki one and had to order one in another color because for warm weather casual wear, these are the way to go. Sure, they wrinkle some but these are more like a rumple instead of wrinkling, but this is the character of linen so just get you one or two you will not be dissapointed. Their breathability is second to none and are what you will need in the hot extremes which are coming our way very soon. Quality feels very good and I am well pleased and the wife says they look very good.
Best shirts for hot and humid areas
I bought these 100 % linen shirts - yes these, 2 in April 2011, for wear in Japan and Southeast Asia. 2 - khaki gingham look more white vs khakiI liked these shirts so much, so light and cool even in the humidity of Japan, Philippines and other Asian countries, I bought 3 more in 2013 including the navy gingham and orange gingham to wear under JABanks Seersucker suits and casually. I have not been disappointed. Fit is loose which is what I want in a linen shirt in hot humid climates. I plan to order more. Some clothing we like in US are not good for other countries - such as leather jackets for motorcycles are fine in USA but sun in Philippines destroys the leather.
