Recently purchased a black and ivory from another vendor. Very disappointed with them. They "pilled" terribly and shed all over my husband's sport coats. Had to return them . Reordered these from Jos. A. Bank. Very pleased . No shedding , quality material . He loves these! Wish I had seen these on line first.

As I usually do each year, I purchased key items for my husband. This year I opted to purchase several items from Jos.A.Bank including mock turtlenecks. I did not open the box when it arrived, my husband did and subsequently put his new things away. It was only a few days ago when I asked him about a particular color silk mock turtleneck that my husband pulled out what he thought I had purchased. (As many men are, my husband is color blind!) I was shocked to see that he was sent the wrong color and I immediately went to his closet to check on other items purchased. I could not believe what I was seeing. I now have to go out and purchase the exact silk mocks my husband needs and am stuck with the wrong colors. Shame on jbank! I certainly learned my lesson, even over the holidays, check every single thing! I was foolish! Jbank was careless!

I wear these mocks with suits and sportcoats instead of shirt and tie. The silk is comfortable and keeps it's shape.

I wear this as a base layer and it is heavier than I expected. It is still silk and, therefore, light, however it is warmer than some silk long underwear I own. I wear it under button down shirts.

I do not feel it is a breathable as other silk clothing I have owned, so it does run a touch warm. It would not be a good choice to wear under a button down and sport coat.

It is very soft, has a nice fit, especially in the shoulders and the next is not too tight. The cuffs are snug and yet easy to pull up when needed.

The item must be hand washed and says to lie flat to dry on the label, yet the website states dry clean only. I wash in on the gentle cycle and dry it with no heat. This may decrease the life of the garment, but in the end I will save on dry cleaning costs.

The black is a solid black and the deep blue has some light grey woven into it, so it lightens it up.

Finally, if you haven't shaven when you are wearing it, whiskers cause pilling on the mock collar. Not the end of the world, just be sure to check the mirror before you head out or have a meeting.

I really scored a terrific deal on this beautiful silk sweater I bought for my husband. The 12th wedding anniversary gift traditionally is something made of linen or silk. The first gift I bought him of silk and cotton started shedding and pilling as soon as he got it on, so it was returned to a competitor's store. This silk men's mock turtleneck came in lovely, manly colors and fit him just right. Although he wears a Large or even XL sometimes, the Large fit his large chest and shoulders with his shorter torso and arms. This was a Cyber Monday on-line offer that was at a discounted price of 2/3 off!! Now that's a deal!! And, best of all, he just loved it and wore it to party recently, looking most handsome in it with a nice Banks navy blazer!

A product's quality, durability, and functionality are more important than its cost. A sweater that fits well, does not 'ball up', and holds its shape, has more value than a less expensive sweater which requires more frequent replacement. My experience with Jos. Banks clothing, sweaters in particular, is that their clothing last for quite a long time. I have adopted the philosophy that I am "too poor to by cheap," and have given up on lower end commercial brands of clothing.

I already own 3 of these and love them for travel; wanted some other colors; love the colors but--quality seems to be thinner and not quite the same as my prvious purchase.

My husband hates to wear suits, but there are occassions that call for something other than our customary jeans. These sweaters, when paired with a nice pair of pants and sportcoat are the perfect alternative for those times.

I frequently travel teaching Acting Courses around the country. I need to look professional but not square.

These Silk Mocks are my daily uniform along with a Jos A Bank Camel Hair jacket. Yes I have JAB pants and socks...I admit the shoes came from elsewhere.

These mocks are warm in Winter, cool in Summer and are surprisingly able to block wind. They never lose their shape, pill or look sloppy no matter how long my day... especially around my neck.

They travel well, pack well in the suitcase and never have a wrinkle when I put them on.

I will admit after I wear them a few months, I see some tell tale small black spots on my jacket as the mocks shed a tiny bit...not a big problem for me. Just pick it off like a piece of lint.

I rotate through about 8 or so...all black.

My wife and I went to a show last night and it was so easy...I just slipped on my uniform...black signiture mock and all.

I bought two of these for wear with and without jackets. They fit well and look good in both situations. I live in Texas so most sweaters have limited use, but the material in these is light enough to feel reasonably comfortable year round.
