While the fabric and tailoring of these trousers seems to be good, they do run smaller than all my other trousers. Having recently purchased trousers from two of your online competitors in a size 38, I found that I need to purchase a 40 from Banks and possibly have them taken in a small amount in the waist. The length seems pretty correct. I sent the 38 back and am awaiting the 40's to arrive.

  How do these pants fit? Are they more of a relaxed fit or do they have more of a straight leg cut? I normally wear a 38 waist and am contemplating purchasing a 40 waist based on how they fit. What is recommended?

    A:

    These pants are more of a straight cut. Size 38 waist is 38 1/2, the thigh is 30 and the bottom leg opening is 19 1/8. We hope this helps.
