Great looking coat. It does run big. My husband usually wears a 40 regular and thats what we ordered,but had to exchange it for a 38 short.

I had initially ordered the wrong size for my husband, but Jos A Banks is so customer service friendly, exchanging it was a breeze. The coat is high quality wool with beautiful detail and lining. Was able to buy it on winter clearance, so it was a steal!

We saw this on sale at a JAB outlet store and pounced. It's warm enough for the few days of really cold South Texas weather we've had so far, and is roomy enough to wear over a sweater or a suit coat. (I believe it's designed for layered clothing and scarf or for wearing over a suit because otherwise it's a very loose fit.)

The coat also does a great job of blocking wind and keeping you warm on cold, windy days, especially since there's really no need for heavy winter clothing this far south. It's a good length, also.

The outside pockets are roomy enough and keep your hands warm, and inside the coat are three(!) more pockets, also deep and roomy.

I've gotten a lot of compliments on the coat from students, staff, fellow teachers and even the principal!

I ended up resewing the front buttons because they didn't seem sewn on very well. Maybe that's why the coat was at the outlet store. But I give it 5 stars anyway due to exellent workmanship for the entire coat. The tag says it's made in Haiti, a nice change from China.

It finally got cold enough for me to wear this coat this morning. I really love it.

The material is very soft and looks luxurious. The buttons are secured by another small button inside, so I don't think they will ever come off. There are two breast pockets inside, as well as a large pocket inside below on the left side. The two pockets on the outside are large as well.

You can order the same size as your suit size, because it is designed to go over your suit. It has ample room for moving around. I don't feel like it's tight at all.

Very professional looking.

I just purchased this topcoat, and was disappointed that the wool is paper thin and does not even come close to the quality and warmth of my old topcoat.

This could be a real go to coat, wear every day it isn't raining type coat, but....
It is cut very generously, in the torso and the sleeves. I am 6'2" tall and 172 lbs. and normally wear a 42L, so that is what I ordered and got. The length is an inch shorter than a competitor's 42L and the body when buttoned pulls away from my chest and stomach twelve inches. I could get two of my arms in one sleeve, at least below the elbow! The fabric is nice, and it is merino wool. Extra inside pockets are nice.
It was made in Haiti, and NOT China!
Maybe Jos A Bank should offer a slim cut?
