Comments about Jos. A. Bank Double-Breasted Raincoat:
I use this raincoat as an overcoat for my suits. It is very stylish and functional. By functional, I mean that it has plenty of pockets (2 outside and 3 inside). The coat is cut large so I ordered the coat in the same size as my suit jackets. The only area of special concern on this coat is that the waist belt needs to be secured. I was walking around town one day and realized that the belt had come out of the loop and was dangling on the ground. Not a big issue, just something to be aware of. Additionally, I purchased this coat during a 50% off sale.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Classic Rain Coat Good Quality
from Pasadena, California
I was looking to replace a London Fog black raincoat that was probably 20 years old and looked it. I wanted a classic trenchcoat style. This is a very nice quality raincoat. Looks good, material feels very good and it fits well. I am a 41 size and ordered a 40 and 42 the 40 fit very well with suit underneath it. The 42 was "way to big." So, the cut is a little large. It was really easy to return the 42 to a Jos Banks store close to where a work.
Nice, but big

I definitely like the coat. The only thing is the sizes are off. I ordered one in my suit size and it was way too big. One size smaller works but is actually still a little big, even with a suit on underneath.

I love the jacket. However, the first day I wore the coat the *PLASTIC* buckle for teh belt got caught on something and broke. Granted I could have been more careful, however, a non-plastic buckle would not have broken. That being said (for those who are a bit more careful) the jacket is very nice, and well made - sans the buckle. Hope this helps.
