Passable but not outstanding

Comments about Jos. A. Bank J Handle Umbrella:
Having gotten a few years of good use out of my previous version of this umbrella, I happily ordered another. The size is perfect to slip under the flap of my briefcase, and the mechanism is solid.Unfortunately, the metal ribs featured on the previous model have been replaced with plastic or other synthetic material. This gives the umbrella a less quality feel, and I have less confidence in it's ability to withstand wind or to last nearly as long as the previous model. It also does not close as compactly. In short, this is a passable product but likely not one that I would purchase again.
