Jos A Bank was running a sale of buy 1 get 1 free. The picture looked nice, so I pulled the trigger.

Lets see.. where do I begin?

After opening the boxes and attempting to put them together, 2 of the wooden pins used to hold each rack in place broke. Great.. what a wonderful start.

I then got all 3 racks set on top of each other and noticed the wooden bars the shoes sit on rotate. What!? Why are they rotating?? So, now everytime I put the shoes in, the bars rotate and dont sit flat.

Lastly, there is hardly any space between the racks. My shoes all get stuck near the tongue, and I have to force them in the last 1" or so.

In conclusion, I would NOT recommend this product. The quality and lack of space is horrible.

Good product that could use some improvement. I read the reviews about how difficult the shoes are to remove when you stack multiple racks. A simple dowel connects multiple racks. Jos should increase the length of the dowel to allow for easier shoe removal when using multiple racks. In the alternative, you can go to your local hardware store and purchase a longer dowel. Nonetheless, this should be Jos' responsibility.

The construction is not the best for the price, but at 70% off made the price just right. You will need to glue the sides together for a more durable construction.

I agree with all of the reviews and I have a possible solution to some of these problems. If two racks are purchased together and they are assembled against a wall, the lower rack can be positioned about 3-4 inches from the wall and the upper rack can be positioned directly against the wall (use only 2 of the 4 pegs to hold the two together). This should eliminate the lack of space complaints.

Product is a good deal at 3 for 1 sale. Does the job. If you own a lot of boots, it doesn't work too well as you can only have boots on top rack.

The overall product is good, but the picture shows two levels of the shoe rack, when it's only one level per rack you purchase. This was confusing to me, and I was disappointed when the package arrived.

There is no room to add the 2nd rack as its too tight of a fit sooooo4. Go to [@] purchase a 4x8x1 Pine board and 3 4x1x1 pine board and a box of screws for fifteen dollars and make it yourself

The picture of the product is actually two racks. The description is very misleading. When you purchase one rack you essentially get a product that elevates a few pairs of shoes without conserving any space.

I bought three of these racks, sight unseen. I was a little nervous about it...with good reason. The racks are shorter than I expected in that you can barely fit a pair of shoes on one when they are stacked. There is also no top shelf to complete the shoe rack. Which there should be one available when you are buying three of them. Those are minor complaints though since there is no claim of a shelf in the item description. My biggest beef is that the wood itself is flimsy. It is definitely cedar. And it smells nice. But, the long bars which make up the bottom and back of each shelf could be broken by a 4 year old karate kid. I like sturdy stuff. And for the suggested retail price (which I did not pay), I expected these to have a little heft. However, I do not believe they have sufficient durability to make it 5 years.

Looks great, smells great, just a bit small. They made the space between the racks very tight so I actually have to turn my shoes sideways to get them to fit. Wish they would have allowed for about an extra inch to an inch and a half of space.

Picture is deceiving for sure, picturing two racks. I know it mentions it off to the right, but still. Anyhow, my biggest complaint is that the space b/w racks is SMALL! My shoes don't really fit in there, and I'm not talking about high-tops either. Unless you have like low cut loafers or sandals, you will struggle a little bit to get your shoes to fit. No idea why they made it so snug. Kind of sucks. On the plus side, the cedar does smell nice.

Rack holds four pair of shoes as advertised. My top rung spins doesn't fit in it's hole securely but that doesn't prevent the rack from doing it's job.

The product is a decent quality. However, the picture is very deceptive. The picture shown has two rows, allowing for up to eight pair of shoes. However, the picture is two shoe racks stacked on top of each other. So the price listed is for one rack, but the picture shown is for two. In full disclosure, there is a small message that says what is pictured is two racks, but it is so small and the placement is such that unless you're looking for it, you won't see it. I only saw it after receiving my one rack and then realizing I needed two or more to get the desired effect. If it was clearly stated that I needed more than one, I would have purchased more than one since they were on sale at half off. Maybe Jos Bank will let me purchase the other rack at the discounted price.
